| Game Description: Warcraft II is a fantasy-themed real-time strategy (RTS) game published by Blizzard Entertainment and first released for MS-DOS in 1995 and for Mac OS in 1996. The main game, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, earned enthusiastic reviews, won most of the major PC gaming awards in 1996, and sold millions of copies. The battle.net edition was released in 1999 - allowing users to play online via battlenet - and updated the game from ms-dos to windows. Port Info: The version here will not allow you to play on battle.net - since you need your own cd key to do so. Battle.net should work if you install the game inside with your own cd-key. Like I said above: this version here does NOT enable you to play over Battle.net without the CD/key code, it is only for those who wish to play the game in single-player mode, or over a LAN without the CD / key code. This version includes Beyond The Dark Portal - expansion. The cd check has been compromised - but nothing has been ripped. The main reasons for adding this is that it was a request in the requested ports by "dude1" - and that the battle.net version does not work with Mac OS X. Minimum System Requirements: - OS: Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger / Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - CPU: Intel Core Processor - RAM: 1024 MB - Video: nVidia 8xxx Series or AMD 3xxx or 4xxx Series Video Card recommended - Apple's X11 must be installed - CXZ Diamond engine - about 700 megs of Hard Drive Space required - Please note that Warcraft II - has not been tested on Macs with GMA 950 chips, but it is likely to work. Known Issues: Battlenet will not work without using your own cd key Installation: Mount the DMG file and drag to your Application folder or wherever you want. |
have to download a CXZ package separately, but the game works. its really slow and laggy on my computer, maybe i dont have enough RAM or something, whatever its unplayable for me but a good upload package
