Description |
|
| Year 2011. Five years passed since the Second Disaster, which eclipsed the events of April 1986. The Zone is shaken by frequent and powerful blowouts, which move anomaly fields, opening new routes to previously inaccessible locations. Stalker factions fight for the new territories and key points. A lot of stalkers die, but newbies keep on arriving. The action takes place one year prior to the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, one year before Strelok's most successful trip to the center of the Zone – the third one. We will learn about Strelok and his squad from another character's vantage point. The Zone is waiting for you ahead, new locations and unknown threats, spatial holes and monsters hiding in the fog, pitch-black nights and saving rays of a rising sun. Try to avoid anomalies and hide from blowouts, discover the Zone and collect artifacts, cure radioactive irradiation and fight for any stalker faction you like! Only then you will uncover the truth about Strelok and how he happened to get inside the death track and receive the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tattoo on his arm. Key Features[/b] • Familiar and well-know Soviet-style game world • Real in-game objects, like Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Chernobyl-2 military object designed to detect US missiles launches and others • The atmosphere of mystery and permanent danger • Improved graphics using the DX10 technology (volumetric light and fog, dynamic wet surfaces etc.) • Ability to join one of the stalker factions in the Zone and influence the balance of forces. • Correlation of players actions to factions' attitudes towards him • Fast travel inside the Zone with the help of guides • New types of anomalies and artifacts • New concept of artifact search and usage • Developed system of weapon and protective suit upgrades • Well-developed infrastructure of factions' bases (presence of a trader, barman, mechanic, minigame organizer etc.) • Freedom of movement inside the game world and storyl |

Hey man I have the same iMac 27" and yes it is the Shizzle as you would say, I would say it's the ShizNit but it's all the same. I've been using a mac for a few years and definitely know what you are going through as far as the learning curve. So here's the deal and most important thing you need to know. When you download a file with a .dmg file extension, that is exactly the same thing as .exe for windows. There is a big difference however in how apps or games are installed on a mac v. pc . WHen you double click a .dmg file it executes the file to install whatever app, game etc... it is. Now as you know if you were using a windows machine and executed a .exe file it lauches the installer, that creates a bunch of directories, which in turn install a bunch of files in various locations. Well the great think about using mac's OSX is that when you execute a .dmg file (For the most part, not 100% of the time but very close) all mac OSX does is open a window with an icon the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in this case and the Applications folder to the right of it. It says to install this game drag the stalker icon into the applications folder and BOOM your done! Even more convenient and cooler than that..... If you try the game out and you don't like it.... Here's how you uninstall it..... Open the Applications fold, drag the icon for the game to trash can and drop it in (it usually pops up with the administrator username you setup and you have to fill in the password, I left mine empty since it's only me that uses this computer, so you type in the password, the icon goes to the trash bin which you can empty then or later and that's it. No files and folders left behind all through your machine. It's because mac MOUNTS apps, games etc... instead of INSTALL them like Windows does Anyway dude I think I've help out about 100 X more than the average Joe would. That's because about 4 years ago I was just where you are. New iMac 24" at the time, online, all hyped up to take
Any tips how to install this on a mac? I'm a new mac user, got iMac 27" i7 shizzle and this kinda is the first game i downloaded and already i'm having trouble installing / running the game.
Really could use a first timer guide step by step for this.
Thanks.
